How does DRIV compare to the
price of an exotic rental?
Members will enjoy daily rates that are less than half of ‘typical’ exotic rental car agencies and about two-thirds that of other clubs. Furthermore, with complimentary services such as vehicle delivery and exclusive events, DRIV members will surely appreciate the value of membership.
How do memberships work?
All memberships have a one year term. Depending
on the level you join, you will have an annual point balance
that you use on the vehicles of your choice. You can see how our
vehicles are grouped and their point values by clicking
here.
Once I have paid the annual
membership fee will there be any other costs?
There are no incremental usage costs. However,
members are responsible for their own fuel, tolls and driving
infractions.
Do I need a clean driving record?
No, but it helps. We do accept members
with up to two minor traffic offences or one minor claim in the
last 3 years. Any potential members outside of this requirement
may be considered on an individual basis. Additional insurance
premiums may apply.
Can my partner drive the vehicles
also?
Yes, membership includes the provision
of a named "spouse, life partner or co-member". The same conditions
apply to the primary member and co-member. Only registered members
can drive club vehicles.
What is the minimum age for
joining?
Membership is available for anyone between
30 and 65. All members will be required to undertake a half day
driver development course. Any prospective members outside of
this age range may be considered on an individual basis. Additional
insurance premiums may apply.
Who pays for insurance while
I'm driving the club vehicles?
Your personal auto insurance will be primary
when out in a club vehicle. This is consistent with insurance
laws in both Nevada and California that insurance follows the
driver, not the vehicle. During the application process we will
verify that you have adequate coverage.
Am I able to use the vehicles
in San Francisco if I join in Las Vegas?
Yes, members have full access to the portfolio
in all locations, no matter which you choose as your home location.
How do I reserve a vehicle?
Reservations can be made over the phone,
via email or through the member's only section of the website.
Vehicles are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis and
require a two day minimum duration.
Do you offer delivery/collection
of the vehicles?
Yes, vehicles are available for pickup
from DRIV's office or can be delivered to any desired location
within a 25 mile radius. If outside this radius a delivery charge
will be assessed. Secure storage of your personal vehicle is complimentary
when you pick up your reservation at our facilities.
Are there daily mileage limits
or restrictions?
No, there are no daily mileage directional
limitations. If you feel like taking a road trip out of state,
you are more than welcome. Each membership allows for an annual
mileage allocation.
What happens if I have points
left at the end of the year?
Upon membership renewal, members will be
allowed to carry over their remaining points to their second year.
Do you offer roadside assistance?
Yes, 24/7 roadside assistance is standard
with all club memberships.
Who owns the vehicles in the
DRIV portfolio?
All vehicles are owned and maintained by
DRIV. All vehicles have been hand-selected by DRIV with member's
input. The vehicles are in excellent condition since they are
not available to the general public.
How many vehicles will be
in the collection?
The collection will continue to grow as we add new members. By the end of 2008, we plan to have eight vehicles in San Francisco and four or five in Las Vegas. By the end of 2009, we should be well over 20 cars between the two locations with new locations planned in Southern California.
Do you provide corporate memberships?
Yes, we have worked with many corporate
clients such as Fairmont, Merrill Lynch and many other large and
small premium brand companies. Please click
here to request a consultation.
